Combined Efficacy of Lawsonia inermis and Myrtus communis Extract as a Potential Factor in Bacterial Treatment to Hospital Wastewater, Iraq

Abstract The current study aimed to use biological treatment using plant extracts; extracted from some locally available plants: Lawsonia inermis (Henna), and Myrtus communis (Yass), against pathogenic bacteria isolated heavy water in hospitals that do not have plants. two studied plants were different solvents (water alcohol). Diagnosis of these Gas chromatography (GC-MS) showed the alcoholic extraction led a higher percentage effective phenolic compounds than aqueous extract. Sewage was used isolate according morphological, biochemical, confirmed by vitke II instrument; six types identified ( Staphylococcus lentus, xylosus Sphingomonas paucimobilis, Escherichia coli, klebsiella oxytoca, Serratia ficaria ). Alcoholic excellent antibacterial activity all as revealed diameter inhibition zone.
